Grand reopening event

The Sept 7th event is our event to organize, in conjunction with the Task Force, to thank everyone responsible for bringing about the new field and the great change at Kennedy.

As a reminder, FOKP must be sure to give written thanks to those who participated in the Tree Day event. Randy will work with Sophia to insure that such letters are prepared.

Logistical planning was described for the Grand Re-opening.
Committees were set up to organize the Sept 7th event: Program Committee, Food Committee

An HR-57 representative gave an update on their organization, located on 9th Street and P. They sponsor free, family oriented jam sessions every Tuesday at 8pm, and invite all to attend to help support their efforts regarding Jazz and Blues as an American art form. HR 57 also will participate in the Sept 7th event and Shawfest ’96. They also suggest that word be gotten out to Blagden Alley and O Street Associations, as well as to ANCs 2C and 2F.
