Sewing Classes at Kennedy Recreation Center Start in January

Due to popular demand, the next series of sewing classes at the Kennedy Recreation Center will begin in January 2005. Dates have also been set for the next two sessions of each of the three sewing classes offered. Please see detailed information, including fees and registration instructions, pasted below.

SEWING for BEGINNERS
Learn basic sewing skills or just sew for the fun of it!

Sewing I

This class is designed for the BEGINNER. Learn the basic fundamentals: introduction to the sewing machine, sewing terms, equipment and notions, information on fabrics, patterns, and pressing techniques that will prepare you for advanced sewing classes. One sewing project completes the class.

Eight-week classes meet on Mondays:

January 3 – March 7, 2005
March 21 05< or cancelled, you will be notified by phone or email prior to the first class, and a full refund including Registration Fee will be issued.

Refund Policy
If you wish to cancel your registration, you must email registrar: jrhsinga@yahoo.com, fax, mail or stop by the class location and deliver a written notice of cancellation within the deadlines listed below. When canceling a registration include the following information: student’s name, telephone number, class name, instructor, class start date, and reason. All refunds and class transfers are subject to a $5.00 processing fee.

If you cancel a class, workshop or seminar for any reason the following will apply:

The participant assumes all risks associated with participation in the class; SiNGA assumes no liability for injury or damages arising from participation in the class. The participant consents to emergency treatment. The participant also consents to SiNGA’s use of any photographs taken or videotapes made of the class. If the participant is a minor, the parent or guardian approves his or her participation in the class. SiNGA reserves the right to expel minor participants for bad behavior or repeated problems. Neither the instructor nor the site staff is responsible for minor participants prior to or after the scheduled class.
